Ragdale is a nonprofit artists’ community located on the former Arts & Crafts country estate of architect Howard Van Doren Shaw and poet and playwright, Frances Wells Shaw.
A costumed, creative spookfest for the whole family. Guests and monsters will be spellbound by live performances in the witches ring, hands-on art projects, scavenger hunt, haunted house and pet cemetery, costume contest, and tastings throughout Lake Forest’s most imaginative haunted estate.
High School Arts Week is an intensive program that offers students the opportunity to develop their creative skills under the guidance of distinguished instructors in a retreat setting.

Ragdale’s annual Ragdale Ring Performance Series are one-of-a-kind programs feature storytelling, dance and jazz, and are curated by Ragdale resident artists in cooperation with their creative colleagues. All events take place in the Ragdale Ring, the open-air performance venue. Guests are encouraged to bring their family, a lawn chair or picnic to enjoy an arts-filled evening outdoors at twilight.
